If only they could incorporate linux's BADRAM capabilities.  I'll be sticking with a redundant array of inexpensive disks, for the forseeable future.  There are tools out there to 'repair' FLASH controllers (including USB sticks) that have 'Electronic Demetia'.  I'm looking forward to using one of these tools in a quest to take two 4GB USB sticks and making one 8GB drive that is TWICE AS FAST.  Of course this would mean that it could fail twice as fast.

Personally, i like the way that LSI didn't change driver architecture from the Lucent/Agere AC'97 modems, after the acquisition.  This may be because they were simply using existing designs with maybe a die-shrink & the all-important new 'LSI' logo!

Is this the HP CEO that brought us the entertainment of HP spying on their board members and/or sharehaolders?

From the company that brought us an untold number of defective laptops with nvidia bad-bump integrated graphics chipsets (among other novelties - some of the keychain variety).  An unparalleled (& hopefully never so), incomprehensible, unconscionable lack of supportive customer support (IMHO).  Not to mention the telling of tall tales that would make Baron Munchhausen, himself, blush with shame!

  I certainly hope this is ferreted out as a 'Magnum Opus' of tall tales!  Of course this may just be the finely-tuned happenstance for nVidia, that could only rival a 'Plinko' player hitting the same target 100 times-in-a-row, twice, in the same day!

Maybe I'd believe it when AMD drops x86 architecture for ARM, or licenses Tilera's designs for 100-core chips, making a 100-core.x86-Hybrid!
