This means the correct driver got installed, which means something is wrong with this exception in the DPsFnshr.ini. And I've found it now: it lists 'ha10x2k.sys' as a tagfile, while it should have been 'ha10kx2k.sys'. A VERY small typo! You can change it yourself and it'll work, but it will of course be fixed in the next update of the DriverPack Sound B!

Thing is that it seems to have installed the wrong driver (since the driver file 'ha20x2k.sys' was found, which should not be the case), although the device name is correct (that device name is NOT present in that incorrectly installed driver).

When you have reinstalled Windows, please also post your setupapi.log file, which can be found in %systemroot% (probably that will be C:\WINDOWS).

I will have to rerun the cd I went back to an earlier backup the sounds were working it is just that audio control panel wasn't in control panel I will let you know what driver is installed I hope that you can get it back because there is were I can control the configuration of the card thanks in advance.
