Edit: Note that Renesas is offering a warning concerning counterfeit chips. No word yet concerning which chips are most at risk, nor on how to definitively identify them.

Yeesh, why do they include an outdated VisualCruntimes (VC2008_v9.0.21022.8)? I notice that some SW installs older versions of VC2008, mostly (except for DP's). I note multiple-entries in "Add&Remove Programs".

I've got two VC++2005's (v8.0.56336 & v8.0.61001), & four VC++2008's, specifically v9.0.307029, v9.0.307029.17, v9.0.307029.4148, & v9.0.307029.6161 ?!? Note that this is not a result of DP's use.
