Technically it is a hardware issue. [They lack the proper hardware.]
mr_s is correct netbooks are not designed for gaming. (See alienware for gaming quality laptops)

having said that your netbook does exceed the minimum requirements for the game.

minimum:
System:PIII 800 Mhz or equivalent
RAM:256 MB
Video Memory:16 MB
Hard Drive Space:2000 MB
Recommended:
System RequirementsSystem:P4 1.4 Mhz or equivalent
RAM:512 MB
Video Memory:64 MB
Hard Drive Space:2500 MB

that should have a gig of ram and 256 of that dedicated to video.

Try to update your video / graphics drivers and cross your fingers.
Try adding a couple Gig of RAM (there may not be 256 MB of ram after the OS loads.)

if that doesn't work ... oh well... your not supposed to put a square peg in a round hole to begin with.

Of course not. It's a netbook!
Netbooks can barely run the OS, forget about running any type of game.

My wife has a new ASUS Eee PC 1015T 10.1" Netbook . Sacred will simply not run on it. It tries to load and then just crashes and the Visual Studio debugger wants to debug it.
We've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, updated with the latest patches, etc. to no avail.
