I have been using my UBCD4WIN setup (a windows XP SP2 image booting off a 2 GB USB Drive) for a long time now.

Recently, I have purchased a DELL XPS 15 laptop
Configuration is as follows -
XPS L501X
Intel® Core i7-740QM Processor
8GB Dual-channel 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM
500GB 7200RPM Hard Drive 1
BD-ROM
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 435M graphics

The HwInfo is-
HDD - ST9500420AS
Motherboard / Chipset Info -
Manufacturer Dell Inc. / Model 0J1VR3
BIOS Version A04
Chipset Vendor Intel / Model - DMI Host Bridge / Chipset Revision - 11
Southbridge Vendor Intel / Model - HM57 / Southbridge Revision 06

I am trying to boot this machine via the same USB (using the UBCD4WinV360 with Windows XP SP2).

But the best I reach is a BSOD before even the Windows XP loading banner comes up. This same USB is just working fine with my older DELL Vostro 1500 laptop.

I have tried testing the RAM but they test OK.

The BSOD screen shot is as attached -

It says a BSOD with "STOP 0x0000007E error" with "acpi.sys" and a listed memory address.

I have tried to update the custom drivers (using F6 method). I have tried with the latest Mass Storage Drivers (No luck, same message.)

[NOTE: I have posted the same thread at the UBCD4WIN forums - http://ubcd4win.com/forum/index.php?sho … ntry84151]

Please help!!

Regards,

CK
