I tested my HD4870 graphics card on my brother's motherboard and it worked.
I think there is something extraordinary with my setup P5Q Pro + Gainward HD 4870 + Windows 7.

Confirmed with my friends Windows 7 disc that with next setup it works

Core 2 Duo E8500
Asus P5Q Pro
Kingston HyperX 2 x 2 GB RAM
Ati Radeon HD 4850 (Asus)
Samsung 750 GB and 1 TB
DVD burner

Only thing that differs from my computer is GPU and HDDs. I tried with a different 2.5" hard drive in non-RAID-mode and it did not work.

Next step is replacing 4870 -> 8800

Actually, there is something wrong with some HD4000 series but some graphics card work without any problem...

I did not read the linked story, I did now though.
That's very odd that one type of card can cause the install to go so wrong. And it's only HD4x00series right? Wow.

My friend has same specs except his GPU is Asus HD4850. I could borrow his Win 7 disc this weekend and see if that would work. Hope so.
Plan B would be trying a different graphics card (8800 GT) from my parents computer and if it won't work then plan C would be the MSDNAA version of Win 7 Pro after I get a blank DVD, but I don't think it'll work either if this is a GPU related problem.

I don't think it's a driver problem. It's hard to tell. Do you modify the Win7 source in any way? Is it a legitimate hologramed disc or did you "acquire" it from somewhere else.
I don't think I've ever seen that happen with a plain, untouched disc before (I have an HD3450). But if it's a tainted pirated source, then you never know what you're going to get.

Thank you for your quick respond but I REALLY DO NEED that 3d graphics driver because there is no picture in the screen!

Of course the W7 disc has a basic M$ driver for every device, but in my case it DID NOT WORK or it loaded the wrong driver.

Let me demonstrate for you:

And that 9th screen is the very last screen I can see (starting Windows).
After that it is solid no signal for many hours.

Should I just use my computer as a blind and hope I were in right screen typing all information right. Stop kidding me. You can't be serious.

BTW I saw DriverPacks Finisher in this forum, shouldn't it remove any unnecessary drivers after installation.

Well first off you are correct. There is no detailed guide on how to integrate the drivers easily. But there is a sticky (in this section) on how to use DISM for Win7. It's crude, and uses the command-line. I feel comfortable with it, but not everyone will.
Next, you do NOT need all the DriverPacks. This isn't documented anywhere but the more DriverPacks you integrate into your Win7 source, the more space is required on the hard drive during install. It's an unfortunate truth. Realistically, you would integrate only chipset, LAN, & Mass Storage. Then use a SAD disc for the rest (or all) of the DriverPacks. This is how I build mine, and works well. Nobody really needs 3d graphics and HD audio DURING the install.
Your graphics card would work perfectly fine during the install by using the built in M$ driver. Then update it afterwards with the newer drivers.

We are considering developing a new DriverPacks BASE specifically for Win7 (maybe Vista also), but we have neither the time, nor motivation ($$$) to do it right now. Without a common utility, a detailed how-to is nearly impossible.

Before you say Read "FAQ", "before you post" etc. I want to say that I did read them and still did not understand what to do.

I am very familiar with computers and software, but this slipstreaming is new to me and your HOWTO's are so hard to understand that I gave up reading those after two hours.

So the situation is this:

Desktop Specs:
Core 2 Duo E8500
Asus P5Q Pro
2 x 2 GB RAM
Ati Radeon HD 4870 (Gainward)
Integrated Intel RAID 1 with 2 x 1.5 TB Samsung HD154UI
DVD burner

I finally dumbed Win XP and now I am installing brand new Windows 7 to my rig. So what's the problem?

The problem is that my graphics card is not compatible with Windows 7 installer. Something wrong with the driver. Signal from my monitor disappears between the first and second reboot where all the files are copied to the hard drives. Similar case over here:

I have only spare AGP GPUs so changing it is not an option, because I have PCI-E and I am not going to buy a new one (yet, maybe next summer).

So what I want is to make a DVD that has all driverpacks and latest updates for Windows 7 (64-bit) in case I update some parts, have to make a reinstall or build a new computer. Perhaps testing compatibility with older computers to make it clear is it necessary to buy an upgrade.

I have now Windows 7 DVD, latest updates from Microsoft and link to DriverPacks (http://driverpacks.net/driverpacks/latest).
I have tried RT seven lite, but I do not know how to add driverpacks to it and to get my GPU work so I can finish my installation. Removing all the unnecessary drivers after installation would be also nice.

So what I want is a reply where you say something like this or link to post which is as plain:
Download this *link*, this *link* and this *link*
Extract only first and second
Copy extracted files over here *address* (because if you keep them at download folder it wouldn't work)
Use this script *script code* to make it work
and so on...

Just keep it simple so even non-native English speaker would understand.
