Have you tried SAD3 to install Audio x64 v11.11?

Thank you., but still very new to the forurm, I'm not sure where exactly is the NT6 section..

And HP support did not have any solution that I can find.

even with the factory install setup fresh, I notice there is what was call "HP Audio", but no sound.. its unable to detect the IDT hardware or Nvidia audio...

Doesn't HP have support for their audio solution?

Also, are you integrating DriverPacks or attempting to install post-Setup with SAD3?

I'm running win7 64, I had done a factory restore and yet my idt will not install. I look at the Reg, but there are no regkey as above to delete . has anyone have any other help on this Please help also have hp 8540w

I had the exact same issue in our Copmany. Rambling days with it. I opened a HP CASE an got an Answer that worked for me:

1. delete a Regkey: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\AEAudio

Hi,

I have a request for the correct audio driver for the HP 8540w on Windows XP SP3. We have several of these laptops at work and we must use Windows XP, but I can not get the IDT Audio drivers to install on Windows XP. The drivers were downloaded from the HP website "IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver "

HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_7603&SUBSYS_103C1521&REV_1002\4&1D426B80&0&0001

Any advice would be appreciated.
