Yes, I added it back into DriverPack Chipset thinking everything would be fine with the new drivers.
The problem is that in my organization we have nothing but HP machines with AMD chipsets (Phenom CPU) and this driver is needed for our systems. So while it may cause problems for some Intel-based systems, it's needed for newer AMD systems.
What's the solution? I don't want to remove the filter drivers because I (and others) need them.
Can you confirm that the problem is solved when the \AMD\1\Filter\ folder is removed? If that's the case, then I'll just update the changelog with the notice that those folders should be removed if integrating on Intel hardware.

Seems this problem is back after the 11.09 release:
>>11.09
>>...
>>Updated:
>>- AMD\1 AMD package from 8.881 package.

This probably re-introduced the filter-drivers removed in 11.04.1
>>11.04.1
>>Removed
>>- AMD\1\Filter AMD PCIE Filter Driver (reported here: http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=4516)

Ran into it on intel HW, causing the GFX to fail. The problem seems to be that the the filter driver matches hardware not from AMD.

Well we got a whole load of new HP workstations (AMD Phenom) at work and they all need these drivers. That was why I added them.
In any case, the main cause for problems was the older drivers were named "pci.sys" but they're now renamed "atipcie.sys" which avoids the whole issue.
Thanks for the 8.84 alert...downloading now...
