Well that expains it two devices with same name but are different drivers... and neither is signed...

OLSP will elimiate that issue...
Actually, I solve it with my BartPE plugin code...
But OLSP uses the output of my BartPE Plugin as a source...

Try it you'll like it - OLSP is so good it was the reason i gave up adding SysPrep as a platform for DriverPacks BASE .

right, I narrowed it down to just two entries (assume could be any two from two Ix packs that overlap), these were two just picked at random in I1 and I2

hi overflow, its a VM in vmware workstation, so none present, ive used same for last 2 years probably with lots of previous packs without issue - will give a go narrowing that down

try spliting that list in half, and then half again, etc perhaps we can narow it down further... are you testing on a machine that has more than one of those HWIds present?

I1 and I3 same, seems anything with duplicate's in - unfortunately all the older packs are on work machine, im pretty sure (just got 901) they didnt have dupes and so didnt have this problem, which is if I recall why they were like that in the first place?

This is typical entry in setupapi.log from sysprep, seems to go through everything ok with these errors but then fails to shutdown pc at end.

no that really helps it proves a conflict between I1 and I2... Have you ever tried OLSP?
I am workign on DriverPacks BASE ATM but we need to check the changelogs for the last few versions

well it gets abit more odd - all in 10.x- I tried I6 on its own and it worked, then I1 on its own and worked, then I2 on its own and it worked, then I1 and I2 together again and it failed...?

Cool that narrows it down a bunch!!! so all we have to do is compare i1 and i2 to version 906n2 and see what changed!

I tried the latest DriverPacks BASE 10.03.06 with the latest MsssStorage and the hard drive is still missing.

It works with the 901 but not the 10.0.21

Is there anything else I can do to help figure this out??

read the changelog for BASE / Mass in the testing team forum...
We have a case where one driver replaces three native drivers... do there is an entry in the mass INI that has three sections but only one of then has HWIDs. this is only a problem if you are using a pre 10.x BASE with a 10.x Mass . since you don't use the data in the mass INI it would not affect you . have you tried the 906r6 version? IE how long has this issue existed?
