The hard disk is hot swappable and hence won't cause any down time. The installation of extra memory requires a couple of minutes of down time.

The downtime will most likely be on the scale of mere minutes, but in the worst case scenario it will take up to one hour.

UPDATE: The maintenance was successful and downtime was limited to a minimum!
