I would confront the man in question.
It may have just been a simple mistake, simply grabbing the wrong card off his bench. In which case he should return / exchange it. If he is actually a thief then he is probably also a liar, but, you may still be able to shame him into coughing it up.
Either way it's worth the risk. You have nothing to loose.

I hope he won't let that guy work on his PC anymore.
Either he is careless or he is a thief either way I would not recommend going back.

Best of luck!

Thanks @OverFlow
When i opened the computer to change the card´s slot, i have realized that the card has been changed to a genius and it is not the soundblaster. I asked my friend where is your sound card soundblaster? he told me he didn´t know and surely the man who has changed the source power of the computer, has changed it. is shameful.

PCI\VEN_13F6&DEV_0111 = CMI8338/C3DX PCI Audio Device (VENdor = C-Media Electronics Inc)
This is the device you believe you disabled. Disabling a device in BIOS usually will not actually disable it or have any effect at all on XP's PnP discovery. XP will still find it and insist on you providing a driver for it... You may disable it in windows if you like although this is not necessary or important, simply make sure the SoundBlaster is the "primary" device.

You did not include which versions of the sound packs you used... I will just guess both the official releases were used.
Both the specific HWID PCI\VEN_13F6&DEV_0111&SUBSYS_011113F6 an the generic PCI\VEN_13F6&DEV_0111 are included in DP_Sound_B_wnt5_x86-32_805\D\S\C2 I also notice that there is a Control Panel included in C2 But no finisher entry in the packs INI that corresponds to it. Perhaps running the CMICONTROL.exe will help / fix that issue.

PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0007 = Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi

Your HWIDs from the DPsFnshr.log

2009-12-22 15:58:20 : <INIT> Start logging of the HWIDs for relevant devices present in this system.

Hi, i have a problem with a PC of my friend. He has 2 sound card, one is integrated and the other is soundblaster. Well, i have disabled the integrated via the BIOS, then i have installed an unattended windows xp, the drivers of the sound card have not been installed, i have tried to install it manually, but without success. So i searched the HWID and i have seen it is not present in the .inf file of the original disc (drivers).
my question: maybe Windows xp has set a wrong HWID to the sound card?
all the HWID is the .inf file begin with "PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0007", while the HWID in windows xp is "PCI\VEN_13F6&DEV_0111&SUBSYS_011113F6"
Here are the files:
http://depositfiles.com/files/0sgw1mshq
