3rd Party DriverPacks addons for Graphics
Place the following DriverPacks in \DPs_BASE\3rd party DriverPacks\ directory

I for one ONLY include the PhysX Third Party DriverPack, but that's because I only do English-only installs and I use my own .NET installers.

As a better explanation:
DP_Graphics_Languages_wnt5_x86-32_*
By default, the DriverPacks are mostly English-only.  Adding this Third Party DriverPack will add every language and locale to the individual driver folders when used in conjunction with DriverPack Graphics A & B & C.

DP_Graphics_PhysX_wnt5_x86-32_*
Makes the Nvidia PhysX installer available to the Nvidia drivers.  If applicable, the Nvidia drivers will install PhysX between T-35 & T-33 of Windows XP setup.

DP_Runtimes_wnt5_x86-32_*

Installation is handled by DriverPacks Finisher (either GUIRunOnce or RunOnceEx depending on your DriverPacks BASE settings) and are scripted to execute prior to ATICCC being installed, if applicable.  Will not install if ATI card is not present during XP setup.

Completes the runtime requirement for the ATI Catalyst Control Center.  Contains .NET 2.0 & VC 2005/2008 installers (compatible with Windows 2000/XP/2003).
Only required if you do not already integrate .NET and VC 2005/2008 in your source.
.NET 2.0 installer graciously donated by YumeYao.  A .NET All-In-One (2.0, 3.0, 3.5) installer is also available for download.  Just replace dotnetfx.exe in this package with the .NET AIO if desired.
Only required for ATICCC compatibility and ONLY if you don't already integrate your own method of .NET/VC++ runtime installers.
Do NOT use if you already have .NET/VC++ runtimes integrated into your source.

The post isn't exactly clear.. do all 3 of these files go into the 3rd arty driver packs directory?

Does this directory get installed before applications like CCC

P.S.: would it be safe for me to download Sound RC? Some friends of mine have bought new machines, I've figured I could as well go on and help them installing XP, if you know what I mean... :)

Well, I heard Major was overhauling the .ini file arrangement... maybe I'll wait a little before going with those, in retrospect.

EDIT: oh, I almost forgot: great job, guys. Graphic driverpacks seem like a good deal of energy went into that. Kudos.

I have been checking the Nightlies, and when I went there today to build a new XP Pro SP3 disk, there were no newer files than those I already had.

Great!

Then I run BASE and I'm told THERE ARE UPDATES, which I am downloading now at what appears to be a speed faster than my ISP provides (is your speed math correct on the download rate???) - normally maxxed out at 350KB/sec and your updater reports well over 400KB/sec. Hey - I'll take it, whatever it is, but wanted to give y'all the feedback.

My experience building with the latest Nightlies has been excellent, so whatever you're doing, KEEP DOING IT, PLEASE. <grin>

Yes, the BASE update notification works great, just like all the rest of the Driver Packs. Wim will be proud.
