start by addressing the shown errors... they may yeild the answer.

It looks to me as if it should work...
your best bet is to follow this up at MS. they have a forum for this wink.

I am curious why it failed though...
Did you verify that the add remove entry was actually created?

thanks for your quick reply, As you suggested I used both the command line argument and DPInst.xml. But It didn't worked for me

I used the following command line argument

DPInst.exe /sa /lm /PATH "C:\DSFS\Binaries\brd3k8flt\brd3k8flt"

and the following XML file :

did you try the dpinst.xml entry for suppressAddRemovePrograms? http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms794270.aspx

suggestion:
I have had issues with certain command line switches and found specifing both the command switch and the xml entry too helped.

I am using DPInst.exe to install my Driver I am using this command line argument fot this:

DPInst.exe /sa /lm /PATH "C:\DSFS\Binaries\brd3k8flt\brd3k8flt"

I am using  /sa to supress the entry in the add and remove Programs , but using this command my driver is installed properly and also there is a entry in the add and Remove Programs.

I am attaching the log of DPINST.log file
