i may have spoke too soon... it sees the array now but i get an error from setupdd.sys at the very of the "copying files" stage.

UPDATE...

apparently i was using the wrong promise driver. here's the one for the 4310 for XP/2003:

didn't mean to hijack the thread but the same can be said for the TX4310 driver. it's set to skip server 2003 in the INI file. removing or commenting that line works and the driver you guys already have works for windows 2003.

i can confirm since i just tested it.

so it seems to be the same version we already have...

We will leave the REQ open so that the Packs INI gets updated!

An FYI. Just as a test, I commented out the skip w2k3 line in the MassStorage.inf, reslipstreamed, and it worked. My W2k3 install disk now loads the promise TX4200 driver.

Hopefully this doesn't cause other problems.

#2 was very important... tested with win 2k3 sp2 and not working

the download link is to a driver you have tested and is known good?
(obviously better, but not a show stopper )

I'll get you what you need.

#1 Yes, I have this hardware.

#2 The controller loads with a Driverpacks.net slipstreamed Windows XP pro SP3 disk. The controller does not load with a Driverpacks.net slipstreamed Windows Server 2003 SP2 disk. No errors or failure, just doesn't find the disks to install to.

#3 It seems if I use the driver disk the hardware comes with, it loads in server 2003. It says right on the box of the retail version: "Designed for Windows Server 2003"

#4 Here is the latest driver from the promise website:

#5 Yes, I can test a pack.

you are seemingly correct...

That Driver is for 2k and XP only, (its specifically excluded for windows 2k3) skipIfOS="w2k3"

Without the full HWIDs of the unit I can't be 100% sure if it is supported by another driver / section / folder
PCI\VEN_105A&DEV_3519 is a generic ID
a more detailed HWID output may be helpful
- see HWIDS tool in my signature

Do you have this hardware?
Have you tested it and know that it fails?
Is this card natively supported by win2k3? (PCI\VEN_105A&DEV_3519 is not)
can you please post a link to a driver that you know does work for 2k3 on this hardware
Can you test a pack if it is added? (assuming it is not natively supported with a variant of the HWID)

I'm using mass storage pack v909r6. It appears there is no Win2k3 support for a Promise Fasttrak TX4200? Can you help?
