I tried running an automatic install from a S.A.D. disc. No error, just no driver was installed for the adapter.

Then, I tried manually extracting the WLAN drivers from the .7z archive and tried a manual install. Using drivers from both Z and Z4 folders the I received an unsigned driver warning, clicked ok but was told "WlanUIG.sys missing" and I could go no further.

Finally I extracted all of the driverpacks archived and burned a DVD (the old standalone disc before the newer automated S.A.D.) and told windows to search the disc for an appropriate driver. It did not find a driver.

I looked around and found this driver. It worked successfully.
