I thought that you are better of using NTFS to format USB drives bigger than 2GB. Am i right?

That makes them run faster. But I wasn't able to format my 4GB usb drive using NTFS. My computer wouldn't read it.

So then I just used the PEtoUSB to format using FAT16X...even though my USB drive is 4GB. And it worked.

FAT16X is supposed to be able to format up to 4 GB drives.  It is FAT16 that could only format up to 2 GB drives.

That is the exact same application I have already used to successfully create my bootable USB.

And I'm loving my RyanVM's Post SP3 updated, Driverpacks slipstreamed, nLite automated bootable USB XP Pro SP3.

The only thing that didn't work for me with the USB Multiboot 10 application was that when I formatted my 4GB USB 2.0 flash drive with the HP USB Drive Key format utility in NTFS format and went through the whole process...it did not work. Would give me a No boot device present error.

It just couldn't be as fast as NTFS but it still works.

I have already checked out MSFN. Most of the info there was kind of lengthy, confusing sometimes and requiring a lot of reading.

But as mentioned in my previous post, I managed to get it to work.

I use this program and it seems to work pretty good, works on about 80-90% of hardware that supports booting from a USB device:

My current disc setup is XP Home or Pro OEM SP3, slipstreamed using Siginet's RyanVM Integrator with Onepiece's EN-US Windows XP Post-SP3 All-in-One Update Pack (http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6438) , then nlited the way I like (basically just the repetive stuff, time zone, language, etc and also removal of all extra keyboards and a few UI tweaks, a few addons like .NET All in One, MS signed themes and Fox It). After that, I run DP Base on my dir, then I run the Integrator again and use mr_smartepant's OEM activation addon (http://siginetsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=541) and then I create my ISO w/ nLite. This is the ISO that I use when I run WinSetupFromUSB. And it works great, much faster than DVD.

TO be honest with you, I don't really know whether the program I'm using is using setup or winnt32. I'm just trying to create a bootable USB flash drive with a slipstreamed Windows XP Pro SP3 with Driverpacks, RyanVM's Post SP3 updatepack and automated through nLite.

It actually took me a whole day to try to figure it out and I finally did just an hour before going to bed.

After searching for applications that would enable me to create a slipstreamed (with driverpacks) bootable USB flash drive, I finally found one that works.

If you like I can give you further information about it. Don't want to break any forum rules or anything here. You mentioned you don't support that procedure.

if in fact it does use winnt32 then take a look at RogueSpears AutoImage... (RIS)
AutoImage will make DriverPacks somewhat compatable with winnt32 based installs.

PS I am not surprized you found no documentation here
