Hi, just new here. I recently got a semi-old Toshiba Satellite M205-S4804 laptop from my aunt, It has very bad installation problems. So I want to format it but the laptop itself has very limited options that I can tweak, THE DVD-RAM that came with it has limited reading capabilities. It doesn't read CDs if its a backup of a software, usually its easy to format but the laptop don't read the xp on boot so I went to try that Install XP from USB - WinSetupFromUsb. ^ ^ It went well and was able to on USB until I got on the "select the drive or partition etc. you want to format" but the drives don't show only the boot USB flash drive. I asked about it and I was told that

"your hard disk is not shown because you don't have the appropriate SATA drivers. Quickest way is to integrate Bâshrat the Sneaky mass storage drivers pack in your XP source, or simply disable AHCI(SATA) in your BIOS.".

I tried that disable part on BIOS but there's no option of any kind about the drives at all. D: So I searched about that driverpacks then landed here. I also searched the toshiba site but most of their drivers are all for vista. ;/ BTW, this laptop don't have floppy drives as well.

I would just like to ask few questions:
- Anyone here with the same laptop, problem and tried installing XP Professional on it? Any links?

- Is it because of my dvd-ram is semi defective that It can't read or I just need a driver on it?

- Just in case I need to update what driver should I look for? Don't know if its chipset or under here.

- Is this the right thread to ask about this? ^ ^

Things I got while searching about this.
RVM Integrator
I have a copy of Microsoft XP Professional with SP3. Not sure if its integrated or slipstreamed. or is the same? hehe

Thanks.

*sorry for bad english, not my main language. ^ ^

EDIT:
HWIDs (I still don't know where to use this.)

===========
