Don't use a DriverPacks modified source for repair / upgrade.

If i am remembering correctly upgrade uses winnt32.exe which is not supported currently by DriverPacks...

The error can be replicated using VMware as well......

It looks as though you called the setup from your HDD not the DVD...

I am 99% sure that is why you failed

Run it from an ODD (Optical Disc Drive, CD/DVD) and report back

Other people ARE doing this though... it should work - But it is not supported by DriverPacks.

I'm new to this forum; tried searching for an error that I received while trying to upgrade windows using a slip streamed version of XPSP3 using DP Base but found none....

Issue :-
1. I'm able to clean install XPSP3 from the Slip streamed DVD but
2. receive an error "INF file c:\XPSP3\i386\TXTSETUP.sif contains a syntax error. Contact your system administrator" when I try to upgrade windows from within XPSP3 using the same DVD

Pl. let me know if you require more information regarding the issue...

Any help appreciated...
