Well i normaly am put off just a little when someone asks a question that is in the tutorial and posted a few hundred times on the site LOL

but you have been so polite... here you go,

little known fact - you may integrate ryans packs with nlite
- I do not do this... it does work, but I don't do it personaly.

this is what I do

I copy a clean OEM disk to HDD

I slipstream sp3 to my Clean copy

I use RVM to Copy My Folder and update all my patches
I now have a folder that is clean with sp3 and a second folder that is fully updated with RVM

I copy the RVM folder to a third folder I run Nlite on the third folder and do all my automation.

I leave nLite open at the create ISO screen
(optionaly i will create an alpha iso here and test in VMWare to insure all updates were added)

I Run DriverPacks and exit

I add WPI (Windows Post Installer) and my other runonce / guirunonce files

I now return to nLite and create my beta ISO...

Test beta ISO in VMWare (or virtualbox or whatever)

Burn tested known good Final ISO...

I hope that helps

Jeff

The advantage to copying / saving at each major step in the process I hope is obvious

Thanks for the prompt reply Overflow

I belive it may have been RyanVM's integrator....as it its commonly pushed on from the nlite site.
And that being said, it makes sense that i related DP, nlite, and my mystery site when i was asking about this....shrug.

I just dont remember the site being so dark like ryans is...
http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/updatepack-sp2.html

But the version numbering system rings a bell in my head (currently 2.2.5) ...so it's probably it.

Thanks again Overflow!

Hi there, thanks for looking.

It was quite a while back when i tried out slipping driver packs and some of my own driver packs.

But here's the stupid question...I remember there being a site to download windows updates (packs of sorts) and slip them also. And no, I'm not talking a official MS site.

It was a site similar to driverpacks.net...and nlite for that matter....from what i remember.

I just dont remember what it was called....but basically one was able to download almost all the latest updates and hotfixes for lets say, XP SP2. And then they could be slipstreamed, creating a near up to date XP SP2 install disc

Any ideas???

I know it's out there...just dont remember where or what exactly..

Thanks for reading,
Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.
