I've found that Dell PE's are very sensitive to drivers outside their own releases, particularly intel graphics IGP (GMA) and broadcom NICs.

I have no clue why Dell ditched integrated Intel and went with broadcom netxtreme for their servers. Intel NICs have been, are, and will be the best server NIC out there (at least in the 10/100/1000 ethernet realm). Broadcom are crap interfaces and adapter teaming is still a gamble with their latest driver releases.

It has taken me a few days to try and figure out what is going on with an new Windows 2003 Standard R2 install
on a Poweredge 1950. I had originally slipstreamed all drivers and the machine was blue screening so I started
removing drivers and have come to find out that DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_8053.7z is part of the problem and need HELP.
Here is my hwid.exe stuff if I build the machine without any driverpacks it works fine. If I build the machine with
the MassStorage pack it bluescreens and if I build the machine with my custom MassStorage (see below) and the Lan
pack it just keeps rebooting. I am new to the driverpack stuff and need help. Can someone please advise. So,
I have just decided to use my driverpack because it is smaller but need help on creating the one for the Lan stuff (broadcom).
Again, if I install the broadcom stuff once windows is up (.inf from Dell) it works fine.
