I reloaded Windows on this machine that has a Geforce4 MX 440 card, and when I booted up the machine it had the standard
(Microsoft) driver loaded. I use KTD so I updated the driver manually to the driver located at in C:\WINDOWS\DriverPacks\G\N3 The driver wasn't signed but I continued anyway, and when it rebooted I thought everything was fine because the tray icon loaded fine and when I checked device manager the driver version was updated to 7.1.8.9. I tried changing the resolution and the machine just reset instantly. I disabled automatic restart on system failure (then rebooted once) and tried again, but it still instantly reboots the machine.

I downloaded forceware 93.71 from nvidia.com
Driver version in device manager is 6.14.10.9371 and it works fine so I'm not really what the problem is. Below are my hwids, and I hope someone could shed some light on the issue.

I'm sorry if I'm just bad at searching, but is there a reason we can't get to the 9371 driver instead of 7189?

Thanks for everything guys.

===========
