In one form, Graphics C already serves that function.  I can see that a similar pack for both Chipset and MassStorage would do the same thing.

I had no broken install caused by nlite, I just enjoy playing around with windows builds on different hardware. At times I will use DriverAgent.com and other tools to check for Driver updates and noticed this was listed as requiring an update. As DriverPacks includes all the old Intel ICH Drivers I thought I would mention this one.

If as newsposter reports, it causes issues with newer hardware/software, leave it out.

Out of interest, I did a test on the old rig:

While here, I would just like to give a big thumbs up to all you guys, for all your hard work, I know how time consuming and frustrating drivers can be. I wasted many hours until I found DriverPacks. You do a fantastic job.

I discovered we don't need to add your driver in the final release of a pack. After couple of research I noticed that your driver is part of 2K SP4, XP SP2 and XP3 as well. If by any chance you deleted drivers with nLite I wonder why? On what OS was running your old rig ? And did you notice any issue when they are missing ?

You get 'well meaning' users, bored to tears at their desks, who cruise the 'net looking for ways to improve their office PC.  More often than not, this means that one of my guys wastes an hour or two re-imaging their machine and then spending a day or more doing data recovery.

Did this thing get into MassStorage G or not?

Besides that, it's useless on newer hardware than an ICH5, all laptops, and **any** CPU that has hyperthreading.  It's also 'unfriendly' (in a data loss kind of way) with Norton Speed Disk and third-party read/write cache software.
