I did not use the driver packs on another OS before xp.

I believe I understand, but just to be sure, if I try to slipstream the driver packs onto an XP and it fails for whatever reason, I should not use those XP setup files, but get a fresh pack, correct?

Also, just to confirm, your tutorial says that it's ok (and recommended) to update the setup files with whatever fixes you need/want before doing the driverpack slipstream.

I had actually gotten a fresh copy of XP, (at least I thought, I will do it again just to make sure)

Did you use DriverPacks on another OS (like 2000 or 2003) before you did XP?

if you did that, then you should clean the mass storage sub-folder in QSC.

IF you ran base to stream a new mass storage pack into a XP source you had already streamed an old mass into, you should start FRESH on a FRESH source that had NO mass storage streamed yet.

Failed to CAB Compress.

Used RVM Integrator to integrate SP2, and most recent post SP2 fixes. Also a UXTheme.dll, and a couple themes.

You will see in the log file which DriverPacks I want to integrate. I have tried several combinations of Method 1/2 and QSC on/off.

C: drive has 14.5 Gigs free, and D: Drive (where I am performing all my slipstreaming) has 30+ Gig free.

I have searched on the forums, and have seen several "Clean QSC files directories" and redownload driverpacks. I have tried both, but with little affect. Please note, also, that in the several times I have tried to slipstream these driver packs, it would "fail to cab compress" at different files, and different packs. I am somewhat at a loss.

I hope I have provided all info, if I have forgotten something, let me know.
