I belive we can start with an open source drivers pack build, that could attract developers/testers for extend and try them.

The simplest way would be grab the ROS ones, IMHO:

svn.reactos.org/reactos/trunk/reactos/drivers/

Then we can go ahead indipendently, by adding new and customized drivers.

Do you like the idea ?
