Thanks
this LAN driverpack is a testpack, and I pruned some branches in Nvidia.

if you want to, and you can help us doing this, then you could unpack this testpack, and unpack the released pack.

It will be quite easy for you to put the experimental FIX in \LNV6 into the old pack.

some of the changes you saw in this testpack were

in 8024 testpack I deleted:

LNV\12 and LNV\12\* and LNV\12\*\*
(all NV\12 HWIDS were in the newer NV\3 and we figure they are never used.)
LNV\45_0269 see LNV7
LNV\45_0373 see LNV7
---
renamed
LNV\3 renamed to LNV3 (INI got edited for references)
LNV\3\PreNMR\win2K renamed to LNV3kk
LNV\3\PreNMR\XP renamed to LNV3XP
LNV\45_rest renamed to LNV4
LNV\5_0450 renamed to LNV5
LNV\MCP61 renamed to LNV6

803A experimental then fixed LNV6
-----------

so, if you use the released pack, and put the content of LNV6 in LNV\MCP61 and then select the INI and D folder, you can recompress
7zip will suggest the foldername, change version to 803B,
ULTRA, LZMA, wordlenghts 256, COMPACT.
and then you can use this...

I gotta run to techdays.. Will look which folder corresponded with the driver you posted.

Okay, new hardware = new problems. This time Asus X50N Notebook with Nvidia 630a chipset. I have tested the actual DP LAN and the one in the nightlies, but both don't work with this ethernet controller. So I've been searching around for drivers and found two drivers that seem to be newer than the one in DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_8024.7z/D/LNV6. The first one is from the Nvidia site, second one is from Asus F5N Support Page and looks like a customized build of the latest driver from the nvidia package.

Download links:
http://www.nvidia.de/object/nforce_630i … 08_de.html
http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/Dri … 071008.zip

Dates and Versions from nvenetfd.inf:

DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_8024
DriverVer = 07/11/2006, 65.2.1

Nvidia - 14.10_nforce_630a_winxp_english_whql
DriverVer = 03/06/2007, 65.6.5

ASUS F5N - LAN_XP_071008
DriverVer = 05/04/2007, 65.7.5

Both driver inf files contain new sections for the support of MCP67, but there are some customizations and the binaries differ.

Adding the Asus driver to DP_LAN works fine, replacing the actual driver with the one provided by Nvidia also works, but then DHCP functionality will break. Due to lack of knowlegde i can't figure out how to merge these two drivers, sorry.

Note: Yes, there is no Windows XP driver for the Asus X50N at the Support Page, but X50N and F5N are based on the same chipset.

I have also purcased a motherboard with the Nvidia 630a chipset, i hope i get a chance to test this soon.
