you need to give us some details to go on... or nothing happens

can you get to the download page?
are you running a software or hardware firewall?
which version of base?
what packs do you have?
what is your OS?
do you have internet connectivity? (it would seem so)
are you behind a proxy?
what do you mean it is "connecting"???
if you were connecting then you wouldn't be posting for help???
do you assume we can read minds?

it is working for me right now...

whats up with the "update checker" inside base pack? it keeps on "connecting". but nothing happens...

OK, I found the problem and Overflow was correct. It was my firewall (Agnitum Outpost). I had to create a special rule to not block referrers for this website. Disabling the firewall didn't help. I would have identified the culprit much sooner if it did. This same thing stopped me from getting some files from RogueSpears website also. Funny that I never had this problem before.

So, what firewall do you use Seiba?

Yeah, I had the same problem. I got around it by re-installing WinXP. I thought it ironic that I had to re-install Windows to download the files I needed to make the install disk I'm working on.

Well, anyway, now I'm getting the leech warning again. It must be a conflict with some program I installed since I downloaded the files a couple of weeks ago. This should be fun tracking down. I'll let you know if I figure out which program it is.

that means that you machine is blocking referrers -
the server only will allow you to download if the request comes from the correct page. (the "referring" page)
direct links to the download will fail. (leeching is not allowed)

Hello,

I can't get the downloads to work.
Used IE7, Firefox2, no download manager.

Here is an example:

I go to http://driverpacks.net/DriverPacks/ and then click on DriverPack Chipset and then Proceed to download page and then Download DriverPack Chipset! (url=http://driverpacks.mirror.thesneaky.com/DP_Chipset_wnt5_x86-32_7101.7z). That only brings me to http://driverpacks.net/leechwarning.php.

What I am making wrong?
