Not everyone uses MSN, plus it's proprietary.
Jabber would probably be the better protocol, IMO.

I think we (the team members) do have some Google groups stuff going thanks to the @driverpacks.net email addresses which are powered by gmail.
I haven't really used/looked into that, though.

If anything, I am idling in ICQ once and again (old time inet user as well as ICQ - there was not much else around back then and I really don't feel like ever switching. I did dump that bloody ICQ client, though and am using Miranda on Windows and Pidgin on Linux. Yes, I know I could also use MSN through that but I really don't feel like having to remember another login data set Anyway, my contacts should be in my profile. I you want me to authorize you, make sure I know who it iÂ´s or you will be denied!)

I hate to admit this, but group talk IM in systems like paltalk are not "my" thing. IM in itself is usually shut.
IMs kill concentration. (in MSN, I talk to Jeff, and anybody else can disturb me..)
I like public dissections in fora.
The advantage of fora is that what was written in a moderated forum is moderated.
In IM, it is out of public.
In fora it usually stays public but it can get collected, can get summarised, can get deleted/moved.
(if inappropriate/wrong/insubstantial/abusive/spam.)
In forum, a smart user can use "search" which can bring a big hit discovery for all to read long after.

whomever had a good idea discussed in an IM session and does not find DriverPacks relevant discussions in our fora should not hesitate to write about the discussion in a post. YOU could think that I will sit on it. He could think you will sit on it, and the entire community does not find the solution because you all sat on it. See what I mean?

some of us publish our IM contact info in our profiles feel free to add the ones you find.
