as jaak said dont unzip your packs they are ready to go as is. (that is in the tutorial).

The base is meant to lead you through the steps and is intuitive.

Since you had no mass storage pack available and had the wrong plugin folder specified for location several things would have led you to the finish line. Since the wrong folder was given you would have been immediately take to the UpdateChecker screen which would have indicated you had no local mass storage pack and that a newer version was on the server. (it tried to tell you the pack was not there). If you had the correct folder specified it would have shown mass storage text as greyed out (not available - no really, not available -- hey buddy really it's not here!) When the correct location is given for bartpe the OS= will change from N/A to OS= bartpe (a hint is given in the description box "BartPE: the \plugin directory to which driverpacks will be exported").

if you have the pack available and if you point to the bartpe\plugin\ folder and hit the slipstream button in base

you should then find two new plugins in pebuilder under plugins - base and mass.
Base should be disabled
and Mass should be enabled.

DriverPacks plugin is included with UBCD4win (BartPE on steroids) http://www.ubcd4win.com/downloads.htm
it needs to be configured from <<plugins>> in pebuilder before you build your ISO. that might be easier for you.

I'm trying to slipstream the mass storage driver pack using DriverPacks Base 7.05.2 into BartPE but all options except DriverPack MassStorage Text mode are greyed out. I'm trying to get BartPE to load from my Kingmax 1GB flash drive. It boots fine, BUT...

I've placed the DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_7092.7z file (Unzipped) into c:\dpbase\DriverPacks and then I load the .exe from c:\dpbase. It only lets me click the MassStorage checkbox if I set Location as disc instead of BartPE. I tried with disc anyway but BartPE won't boot..complaining that atiide.sys is missing (I could see this along with several other files as missing when it's compiling bartpe, displaying them as warnings).

I unzipped the .7z driver pack to make sure atiide.sys is there and it is.

The tutorial seems to show you only how to do it for disc but not for bartpe.

I read somewhere I may need to create a plugin for this driverpack? How do I do that, if I need to? There are NO instructions whatsoever on how to do what I want with the driver pack.

The reason may be because DP_MassStorage = "no" but whenever I edit the file and change it to "yes" it just changes back to "no" after I load DP and exit.

Oh, I've also tried putting the 7z driverpack file into WINDOWS\DriverPacks (unzipped) since it refers to it in the .ini file below but same problem.

I've spent hours trying to fix this now.
