HI, i think i understand what is really happened. Like i have seen in the file setupact.log that The installation program found that the file system called [C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\nv4_disp.dll] has not been properly signed by Microsoft. This file has been restored to the correct version of Microsoft to maintain system stability, so i have searched in the archives cabbed sp2.cab and sp1.cab the files "nv4_disp.dll" "nv4_mini.sys" and they are present, so that is why windows restore the new ones to the older ones when it has found that they are no signed.

My explication: when i install the drivers, they have been installed well even if they are unsigned because the file DSPdsblr.exe avoid the check of the unsigned. But when the installation has finished, DSPdsblr.exe did not work and windows restored the files mentionned above to the older present in the sp2.cab then the conflict.

Any suggest please how can i fix this the problem, to avoid windows to restore the files whith the older ones ?
Thanks very much

Hi
well, I simply turn ON QSC.

I just saw you spotted a problem in SOUND forum, and I looked at an excell file only moments ago.
(It's a file with all the HWIDS from SOUND-B in which the duplicates are hilited..)

You will want to see the problem, I guess.
It's a small wonder some drivers still work.

Dupes in same driver have to be filtered out before the excell file is really usable.
However, that is fairly easy
The target OS is one cause for dupes.
Then, for instance, there can be more than one INF file in same same driver, and the folder location/driver version tells us which are appearing more than once for same driver.

After that, it gets to be like REAL work.
If the device is same, OKAY, I think it can be left as is, but...

BUT, I found several HWID duplicated for analog devices, for C-media and for sigmatel..
If you want the tool to build these Excell files, shoot me an email.

OH, maybe you can turn QSC ON for a test.
If you get no device driver signing problem after that, you could file a bug report.

Hi
Ever since the BartPE (ubcd4win) plugin was introduced, I have seen the QSC lines appear twice IF QSC is turned OFF.
(I think that the recommendation to not use it for method 2 should be dropped, because when it is turned ON for M2 there are few failure reports. And for Method 1, the little bugs become a BIG one, because slipstream fails.)

Oh, before the plugin we had Base 7.04, and I told OverFlow 7.04 already had an issue when QSC was turned OFF and that Base 7.01 has it too.
Some people report missing files if QSC is NOT used.

Well, would anyone please explain me why ths installation depend on the .cat file?
in order to illustarte what i have said above, i have made 2 tests. I have donwloaded the nvidia graphics drivers from the manufacturer LG website, I have repacked them and i have put them instead of the directory of nvidia of the driverpacks graphics A.

First test: include the .cat file
The drivers have been installed well and they have worked well also, without problem

Second test: i delete only the .cat file
The drivers have been installed, but they have not worked, because windows has restored the 2 files non signed mentionned above to the correct version. So it is clearly that it depends on the .cat file
I am sure there is an issue with the signing drivers policy

Thanks

Ok I will try it unattended.

EDIT 1
Tried and without success, it has been installed but it does not work properly
Please I have a question:
Why with the same drivers which i have tried to install it automatically did not get worked correctly, but it can be installed manually.

I inform you why i think is a problem of the signing drivers:
I have seen in the file setupapi.log that my HWID has been found in C:\D\G\N\1\NV4_go.inf and it has been installed correctly without the signing drivers, so it must work properly so i decided to see an other file.
Then i see in the file setupact.log and i have seen theses lines which i think here is the conflict:
The installation program found that the file system called [C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\nv4_disp.dll] has not been properly signed by Microsoft. This file has been restored to the correct version of Microsoft to maintain system stability.
The installation program found that the file system called [C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\nv4_mini.sys] has not been properly signed by Microsoft. This file has been restored to the correct version of Microsoft to maintain system stability.

Also i add these images to see that the card graphic has been found but it has a conflict
