i have slipstreamed all the driverpacks onto the xp cd and burned to disc, i will try this out later on tonight, i hope the installation onto my girlfriends laptop will install most of the rerquired drivers and save me hunting for more drivers, anyway many thanks for now and ill report back with how i get on

my girlfriend has a laptop with vista installed and we want to nstall xp as a dual boot config to see what o/s she prefers, i cant install xp as its not recognising the sata hard drive, i cannot find drivers on the western digital website or on the 'medion' (laptop manufacturer) website, so where do i go from here are there any other drivers i can use to help me instal xp, i was hoping to make a custom xp disc with the drivers included as theres no floppy i can use the f6 method to instal drivers

laptop is a vista MEDION WIM2120
the hdd is a wd1200bevs and the controller is Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) Ultra ATA Storage Controllers

what can i do
