			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Right, just tried lastest packs on D820...<br />Definitely using correctly modified sfc file, correctly in %windir%\ststem32 and %windir%\system32\dllcache<br />Also using the reg file to change to magic number (as far as i know this again now has effect due to patch)<br />It makes no difference I still get things fail at rank change to 0x0000e001</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Mr Smartpants, <br />My test rig (vmware) is up to date with everything, patched with latest Autopatcher and also windows updates.<br />If anyone else can see if they get e001 rankings and dont have issues at least I know the issue lies with me?</p><p>Also I was mislead about my &#039;patched&#039; sfc_os.dll file in above post, I had downloaded, it turned out to be same as original, from<br /><a href="http://www3.sympatico.ca/lazimute/patches.htm">http://www3.sympatico.ca/lazimute/patches.htm</a><br />link title&nbsp; &#039;An already patched and compressed SFC_OS.DLL is available for download.&#039;</p><p>I have just now patched an original winxp SP2 .dll myself, copied it to system32 and system32\dllcache and changed the SFC reg entry.&nbsp; I shall test it on Monday at work.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Ok, just tested again, I replaced sfc_os.dll with the NOP&#039;d one and it made no difference whatsoever.</p><p>Could someone look at their setuplog.api and tell me if they see any instances of a ranking change to untrusted like....</p><p>#I087 Driver node not trusted, rank changed from 0x00002001 to 0x0000e001.</p><p>..but with the driver still installing automatically?</p><p>thnaks</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I think that would be a good idea, however as the finisher is running in the same fashion, and all other things being equal, I cannot see how the problems are connected to sysprep?<br />Most everything seems to boil down to drivers not installing because their ranking is too low?&nbsp; [I am summising this because with the HW wizard they are found and installed ok]</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Oh, I don&#039;t use sysprep so someone else with experience in that utility will likely have to assist.</p><p>I have G_A 7.07 test3 built and ready to upload.&nbsp; Just need some more feedback on the previous test from other users to tweak it first.<br />Major change - G\N\2 &amp; N\5 are gone.&nbsp; All folders merged into G\N\1 (unified WHQL drivers 162.18) with .inf files compared and updated to single nv4_disp.inf (desktop) and nv4_go.inf (mobile).&nbsp; Significant filesize savings! <img src="http://forum.driverpacks.net/img/smilies/smile.png" width="15" height="15" alt="smile" /></p><p>There was also a flaw in the G\N\5 folder where nvucode.bin was not renamed after decompression (remained nvucode.bi_).&nbsp; That would have caused issues.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Helmi, could you be abit more explicit in what you mean? <br />In sysprep I have<br />&nbsp; &nbsp; UpdateInstalledDrivers = Yes<br />&nbsp; &nbsp; DriverSigningPolicy = Ignore<br />(although I thought this made no difference since SP2?)<br />makePNF has ran so presume thats not an issue either.<br />Why does every other unsigned driver work fine except this?<br />Thanks for any insite into this</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Looks like the .CAT file is screwing things up.&nbsp; Windows will try to match signed drivers before unsigned drivers.&nbsp; Damn!<br />The .CAT file contains HWIDs but not ALL the HWIDs contained within our nv4_go.inf file.</p><p>I&#039;ll look into a solution but I&#039;ll need help from the rest of the team.</p>]]></content>
