Doesn't matter anyway, I worked around it.

one of teh things base does is back out any changes from a previous slipstream.

IE it overwrites winnt.sif with winnt.org (original) before starting the new slipstream.

as jaak suggested create a "fresh" source and check back.

It also occours to me you could edit winnt.org and see where that takes you.

have you ever started completely fresh with the prepared winnt.sif IN PLACE before you ran Base?
(fresh as in, a new clean copy of the source, put winnt.sif in, then run base)

what I see happening here is this.
the backup in that source does not have the stuff you want.
when Base starts, it first restores the backup.

I have tried replacing it and not replacing it - and if you remember my thread about the T-13 issue I can't get DriverPacks to install at all (it complains of a missing setup file when I try to run finisher at cmdlines.txt).  However without the driver packs the winnt.sif file works beautifully - and actually it works with the driver packs too up until it freezes on me.

As you can tell, I'm being driven up the wall.

What happens if you copy that (hopefully backed-up) previous SIF (with the DriverPacks BASE entries already in as you said) and replace that ill-edited file?

Is this considered a bug or was Driverpacks intended to do this?
