7.06.1 is newer than what you used.

Same would go for my acer aspire 9524WSMi, which has an intel 945GM chipset and 82801GBM / 82801GHM ICH controller supported according to intel.

Have tried the pack DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_706.7z and no go. XP setup finds no hard drives.
And of course, I would reaaaallly like to get rid of vista. Or at least dualboot.

I am currently working with the IBM T60 model, and I am having trouble boot with my bartPE cd.
So it would be great if the following drivers could be included in the massstorage pack.

The Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager is designed to provide
functionality for the following Storage Controllers:

- Intel(R) 82801GR SATA AHCI Controller
