Yeah, I'll give that a try and incorporate into the DPMS when I get around and no other team member gets to it before

It's just that I cannot test it so we'd need someone with appropriate HW to verify it really works.

Hello,

I read in the german magazin c't that only the Intel ICH8R (with raid) could be used in AHCI mode but
it should work for ICH8 (without raid) also if you edit the file iaahic.inf a little bit.

Copy all the enties for the ICH8R (vendor ID 0x8086/0x2821h) and change the vendor ID for the ICH8 (0x8086/0x2824h)

I don't have a system for testing. So maybe some else could test this.
