As to what I did, (which is exactly the same as what I have been doing previously without any problems)
Xp2 source > latest RyanVM integration > add all driverpacks & most 3rd party ones with keep full KTD, method2 etc. > .iso image > install in vmware 5.5.3 > autopatcher > manually apply KB888111 > sysprep > deploy to 745 etc.
It (did) work 100% on everything I have tried without addition of anything afterwards on GX150 GX240 GX260 GX270 GX280 GX520 GX745 and various Dell laptops and various Fujitsu Siemens P3 and P4 machines.
745 is my main test machine so that is where I saw error - not tested on anything else.

Latest driverpacks as of last week, and source is English XP (original Devils own slipstreamed to SP2 to be precise)
It was fine with older driver packs and I completey rebuilt from source a couple of times this time, with these newer packs.

P.s. the HD audio yellow exclam, without prior manual addition of 888111, is for h/w 8086 284B (Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller ) - this has always been an issue though, still seems problem of RyanVM and Driverpacks mix.

Were you using the latest DriverPacks?
(We should have logs to look at, and I suggest you post them.)

KB888111 is getting dynamically loaded by the latest HDA Intel drivers (not in the DP Sound_B pack...yet). That's something we can learn from by dissecting the Intel drivers.

I am glad I just found this thread I have been going mad trying to figure out what was going on with 745's not working with latest packs.
I had no problem with 520's or 745's with the packs from a month or so ago

I am getting yellow exclams now on the 745's for graphics and netcard (not tried 520)

i know there's a fresh new version of DriverPack Lan (7.06.1) but i wanted to report that the yellow mark has disapeared when I used DriverPack Lan 7062Test

Hardware : HP 6710b, Broadcom NetLink
HWID : PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_1693&SUBSYS_30C0103C&REV_02\4&227633DA&0&00E2

Hope that the final 7.06.1 will act that way ...

your testversion for broadcom is uploading.
NOTE; for BartPE plugin optimizing, the dupe filenames were changed and file references in the INF file were changed.
The DELL driver for broadcom is renamed to 8221xxx (its version is used as part of the name)

I think the fix will be a third folder, and an undo of the edit I did in 7.06.
I immediately saw a cartload of specific subs, and looking at the registry entries I thought merging this old Dell with the newest broadcom is not going to be possible.

Another check reveals it will have to be a third folder, because the system file is different as well.
I will have to undo the edit in B\1, and add a B\3

if you need a solution pdq, put official broadcom in B\1 (I changed the INF, and the official has to be used)
put the DELL in B\3
undo your INI edit
then repack, and use your custom lanpack.

I had an extremely busy workload this week, and had not 'subscribed' to this topic.
(alas, that is an extra step, in this BBS.)

I meant the INF of the driver, not the driverpack's INI.
What you did was adding an exception to an NVidia LAN driver, which is not going to work for broadcom.

I just downloaded the DELL driver.

1. Right, ive tested 7.06 & we have the same problem as 7.05. The driver does not install for the Broadcom NIC.

2. Ive added the line in RED to the ini file in the LAN pack but that didnt work either. Did i add the line correctly jtdoom? it wasnt to clear on the above post.
