My Pci simple communication controller isn't working (well its one of the unknown driver, when i look at the device manager) after i install xp pro (well i upgraded from home to pro). I erased all the data on my computer by using DBAN. When i tried to go to the internet and plug the cable (verizon fioz) it didn't work. I am not connected directly to the modem, the cable is plug in the router. Also, kinda weird but i don't have a "local area connection" i only have the "1394 connection". I tried using the pack that the site gave, but non of them work. Can you please help me with my problem so i can go to the internet with my hp desktop computer. I'm using my laptap right now, this isn't the computer i want fix.

heres my computer spec: (and yes the pci simple communication controller isn't showing)

Field Value
Computer
Computer Type ACPI Uniprocessor PC
Operating System Microsoft Windows XP Professional
OS Service Pack Service Pack 2
Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.11 (IE 7.0)
DirectX 4.09.00.0904 (DirectX 9.0c)
Computer Name R3D3
User Name Administrator
Logon Domain R3D3
Date / Time 2007-05-16 / 19:58

Motherboard
CPU Type Intel Pentium 4 524, 3066 MHz (23 x 133)
Motherboard Name Asus PTGD1-LA (3 PCI, 4 DDR2 DIMM, Audio, Video, LAN, IEEE-1394)
Motherboard Chipset Intel Grantsdale-G i915G
System Memory 503 MB
BIOS Type AMI (09/06/05)
Communication Port ECP Printer Port (LPT1)

Display
Video Adapter Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family (128 MB)
3D Accelerator Intel GMA 900
Monitor Plug and Play Monitor [NoDB] (24546990022)
Monitor Plug and Play Monitor [NoDB] (24546990022)

Multimedia
Audio Adapter Realtek ALC880(D) @ Intel 82801FB ICH6 - High Definition Audio Controller [B-1]

Storage
IDE Controller Intel(R) 82801FB Ultra ATA Storage Controllers - 2651
IDE Controller Intel(R) 82801FB/FBM Ultra ATA Storage Controllers - 266F
Disk Drive Generic USB CF Reader USB Device
Disk Drive Generic USB MS Reader USB Device
Disk Drive Generic USB SD Reader USB Device
Disk Drive Generic USB SM Reader USB Device
Disk Drive SAMSUNG SP2004C (200 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA-II)
Optical Drive HP DVD Writer 740b (DVD+R9:8x, DVD-R9:4x, DVD+RW:16x/8x, DVD-RW:16x/6x, DVD-ROM:16x, CD:40x/32x/40x DVD+RW/DVD-RW)
Optical Drive Memorex DVD+/-RW Dual-X1 (DVD+RW:4x/2.4x, DVD-RW:4x/2x, DVD-ROM:12x, CD:16x/10x/32x DVD+RW/DVD-RW)
SMART Hard Disks Status OK

Partitions
J: (NTFS) 190771 MB (188648 MB free)
Total Size 186.3 GB (184.2 GB free)

Input
Keyboard Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard
Mouse Microsoft PS/2 Mouse

Network
Primary IP Address 127.0.0.1
Primary MAC Address 00-14-BF-72-61-7E
Network Adapter Linksys Wireless-G PCI Network Adapter with SpeedBooster

Peripherals
Printer Microsoft XPS Document Writer
FireWire Controller VIA VT6307 Fire IIM IEEE1394 Host Controller (PHY: VIA VT6307)
USB1 Controller Intel 82801FB ICH6 - USB Universal Host Controller [B-1]
USB1 Controller Intel 82801FB ICH6 - USB Universal Host Controller [B-1]
USB1 Controller Intel 82801FB ICH6 - USB Universal Host Controller [B-1]
USB1 Controller Intel 82801FB ICH6 - USB Universal Host Controller [B-1]
USB2 Controller Intel 82801FB ICH6 - Enhanced USB2 Controller [B-1]
USB Device USB Mass Storage Device

DMI
DMI BIOS Vendor American Megatrends Inc.
DMI BIOS Version 3.25
DMI System Manufacturer HP Pavilion 061
DMI System Product EL479AA-ABA a1221n
DMI System Version 0nx1114RE101Gold300
DMI System Serial Number MXF53806DF NA580
DMI System UUID 883C2233-3930DA11-804BFD82-58E13E45
DMI Motherboard Manufacturer ASUSTeK Computer INC.
DMI Motherboard Product Goldfish3
DMI Motherboard Version 1.xx
DMI Motherboard Serial Number X312345678
DMI Chassis Manufacturer Chassis Manufacture
DMI Chassis Version Chassis Version
DMI Chassis Serial Number Chassis Serial Number
DMI Chassis Asset Tag Asset-1234567890
DMI Chassis Type Desktop Case

---------------------

And on the reverence (of the PCI simple communication controller) or what ever i got the ID: (if you need it)

PCI\VEN_14F1&DEV_2F20&SUBSYS_200C14F1&REV_00\4&23C0B1C&0&20F0

Thanx for the help in advance
