If appears that there are some problems.

I found another site with a program written to inject the drivers into the PE v2 wim file (boot-land.net/forums). This is a quick little program that looks at a directory and runs the peimg command on the imagex mount.

This works just fine and no errors - I can commit and close the wim PE v2 file.

The problem is that after this I boot the updated PE and after it loads and gets to the Vista background it crashes and reboots the PC.
I'm guessing that it is due to injecting XP drivers into PE v2 (which is vista based)??

Bottom line - the BartPE loader does not work with WinPE v2.
        - It appears there is a problem injecting these driver packs into PE v2
-It may be due to PE v2 being Vista based and not liking the older XP drivers

I'm going to keep trying different things and if I find an answer I will post a reply.

Anyone else messing with PE v2?

Thanks,

stephorn
