After doing much reading and checking around the web, it seems that there is still no definite solution to the sound driver problem.(when reverting to xp) How about this? I didn't see any mention of it. Would it be possible to just use an add-on sound card made for laptops like the ones made by creative? Then you could just use that instead of the on board sound. I know this is not a free fix, but, would it work?

my laptop: Toshiba P-105-s9337
