			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Hi all.</p><p>I have attempted the fix from the recommended steps and files listed above.&nbsp; So far I have managed to get the driver mostly installed.&nbsp; I can see it in the Device manager that the sound and modem drivers are listed, I can alter the volume properties.&nbsp; I&#039;m still getting no sound.&nbsp; </p><p>The only discrepancy I had in the directions, was the forcing of the conexant driver at the end.&nbsp; For some reason, I does not see any devices when I use it.</p><p>If any one is willing to help me fix this, I&#039;ll provide whatever info you need.&nbsp; </p><p>Afterthought:<br />Might help to tell you the model of the laptop.&nbsp; It&#039;s a Toshiba Satellite P105-6177.</p><p>Thanks!<br />Andrew J. 			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>So I reinstalled XP, and it didn&#039;t recognize the devices until I installed update kb888111 (right up there with George Foreman grills, Google is the greatest invention of all times), then followed kwin73&#039;s latest instructions step by step and now I have sweet,sweet sound. The modem driver didn&#039;t take but I don&#039;t care. Thank you all for your help. Have a good one.</p>]]></content>
