Ok, after testing this line in txtsetup.sif:

PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2360&SUBSYS_03601849="jahci"

all works fine, no BSOD.
Bitman, maybe you can test it ?

muiz3, is it possible to have a test version with this line instead of :
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2360&SUBSYS_03601849&REV_02="jahci"

I would have to buy a floppy drive and cable. no thanks.

the HWIDS gives me a REV00 not REV02
EDITED..... so should i try that? p.s. - i noticed the new drivers (post #14) do not mention JAHCI in the INF file...will that matter.

Try with the floppy to install.
The driver you posted is supported by the packs.

no luck for me with the nightly test.
i still get BSOD 0x0000007b

chkdsk /r didn't help.

I have no floppy so slipping the driver packs is my option.

6 coasters 7 days. i am just really tired.

any help appreciated.
i am running with the sataII disconnected right now.
but i want to get my cluttered up machine onto my new sataII.

recommendations?

You should try the nightly that muiz has posted, which has the work-around implemented for your motherboard.
