			<description><![CDATA[<p>Plug and Play monitors can transmit their capabilities through the cable; the only thing missing is the ICM profile.&nbsp; Most monitors can do this unless they&#039;re really old.</p><p>I prefer not to use the driver for my ViewSonic G220fb because the driver prevents the use of 2048x1536, but the monitor is quite capable of displaying it. <img src="http://forum.driverpacks.net/img/smilies/smile.png" width="15" height="15" alt="smile" /></p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Generally speaking, monitor drivers are nothing more than a definition of the refresh rates, capabilities, etc and optionally, a color profile.&nbsp; I&#039;ve been getting a pretty good deal lately on Acer 17&quot; LCDs and they have no drivers of any kind.&nbsp; At first this threw me off because I was pretty used to loading up the drivers for the Samsung and Benq flat panels we had been getting.</p>]]></description>
