Hi!
Just found this website on google!
Im making a DVD with some drivers for windows 7.

I started downloading all from here http://driverpacks.net/driverpacks/latest

Then i found this topic with SAD3-130825..7z which, as fair as i understood, it uses the driverpacks that i downloaded here : http://driverpacks.net/driverpacks/latest
And then it automatically applies it and installs it.

However, im not sure how to set it on the folders.

Would someone clarify please?

Sysprep Windows 7 image with DriverPacks set to unattend-ly install?

Hello,

After a few weeks of learning all this stuff from scratch, I've created a Windows 7 Professional image with sysprep (with the /generalize and /oobe options) for our organisation that can be easily deployed to many systems (I used the Windows System Image Manager to create the unattend.xml answer file). However, the last remaining problem is that the target computers vary greatly in their hardware composition.

Is it possible to download the DriverPacks I am interested in (such as LAN, Graphics A, etc.), add them to the reference image, and run sysprep in a way so that hardware detection and driver installation happens automatically (without user intervention) upon deployment and startup? I'd also love it to clean up after itself by removing all remaining files/unused drivers after deployment.

So far I've found a couple of guides that seems to show how to do this for Windows XP, but I can't seem to find one for Windows 7. Also (and I am not sure if I am even understanding the post correctly), mr_smartepants' SAD2 appears close to what I am looking for, but the included guide applies to adding DriverPacks to an installation disc, not a sysprepped image for deployment.

Does a guide for what I'd like to do exist? Or can someone give me some pointers for how to achieve it? Thanks!!!

I have been meaning to ask this for ages

I love this tool! I have noticed on certain hardware that some devices aren't found the first time around, but if I run the tool again the devices are found. I can see the logic in this, let's say that in order for the webcam to be found the usb/usb3 driver needs to be loaded first.

Is there a way I can order the driver loads ie chipset first, USB, other? Or is there a way I can run the tool twice in an automated fashion?

CAB compress Windows 7 Drivers

Hello,

In the past I've used the Dps_base to create a CAB compressed directory of drivers for Windows XP. I would like to do the same for Windows 7/Vista in order to save space. I have given SAD3 a try but from what I can see it does not offer a cab compression option for the entire driver directory like DPs_Base did, only the 7zip option or completely uncompressed (but maybe I am missing something).

Is there a recommended method of doing this?

I suppose I could use makecab.exe and do a recursive loop through my driver directories on specific files, renaming the last extension character to an _; at least thats what I've observed Dps_Base did with XP drivers. Would this method work with Windows 7?

Thanks in advance!
