ntfs.sys stop error when I add DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_1209.7z

Dear Sirs,

I have been prepping a BartPE to be used to recovers files from an old Dell machine. I had stared include the driver packs from DriverPacks.net because the BartPE seemed not to be able to see the 2 Hard drives that I am trying to recover that are on that Dell computer, even though that computer has windows XP installed on it. So I thought that the Dp_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32 Drivers might be able to help me with this issue, But when I boot up from the PE cds (either Bart or UBCD4) that I installed the MassStorage drivers on, I get the Blue Screen Crash.
*** STOP 0x00000024
*** ntfs.sys

This only happens when I have when I have built these PEs with the "# DriverPacks.net - MassStorage" Plug-in option Enabled. Disable ti and there is not problem. But I can't read the hard drives on the computer either.
I have tried this with the V9.01 MassStorage package that was preinstalled by UBCD4Win system, witch didn't include DPs_Base.exe. and the lasted package of MassStorage drivers V12.09 witch I prepped with DPs_Base.exe for both Bart and UBCD. Both versions of driver packages and both version of the BartPE have the same Error.

Interesting enough, there is no error when I test my BartPEs on VmWare.

So my first question is what info can I give you that would let you help me with this problem.

Also if someone know if my approach of installing the mass storage driver for salving this problem of not being able to read hard dives on the computer from a BartPE as being wrong and know the right way of going about it, then I would be happy to be corrected on this subject.

Thank you for your help in advance, and hope you can give some constructive feed back

Nonlin

I've tried making a stand alone drivers folder using methiod 1, and then running

"dism /image:c:\winpe_x86\mount /add-driver"%mypath%x64\Win7\L" /recurse"

But this fails out every time.

Has anyone sucessfully used the driverpack with winPE3?

Intel HD Graphics (Sandy Bridge) + BartPE

Hi,

I use DriverPacks BASE to integrate MassStorage and LAN drivers into BartPE, using PE Builder. This has always worked great : never came across an unsupported PC.

But now with the new Intel Sandy Bridge (i3/i5/i7) architecture, there is a new challenge. When booting our normal BartPE system, this fatal error appears : Stop 0x000000B4 The Video Driver Failed to Initialize

After checking the PCI ID's, I determined that the Graphics_B package contained the relevant drivers (IB). However, after using BASE to generate the PEbuilder plugins, I notice that no Intel drivers are actually included.

I understand Intel graphics drivers are notoriously complex, so I'm wondering if that's the normal behavior or perhaps there's a problem with my BASE setup?

Thanks.

Replacement for UBCD4Win...?

Just got a new Lenovo T530 laptop after the holidays... sadly, my last build of UBCD4Win v3.60 won't cope with the newer hardware (had a T420 before this upgrade). I'm doing a build now with the latest driver packs for my source CD (XP), and I'll see what happens; but the prospect of failure had me wondering:

Since the thing that would drive me towards once bootable CD solution over another is a toss-up of either the availability of desired apps AND hardware support - and I still expect most of UBCD4Win based "apps" to work under an XP based boot CD on a Win7 host PC...

...what are folks who used to participate HERE in the BartPE / UBCD4Win area using nowadays considering that the UBCD4Win project folded some time ago, and we're well into an era of both newer hardware and host PC OS. I'd been watching several other projects for a bit of time back when I was hoping to trim down the size and boot time req'd by my UBCD4Win builds... but never really kept up with any of the other similar solutions out there. I'll cruise around some of those sites to see how people are getting on - but curious what the ~driver people are using in place of the 'ol UBCD4Win...?

BARTPE - iastor2.sy_ BSOD - MS WNT5_x86-32_1209

I have been working for a couple of days on a BartPE/UBCDWin4 disk for use on a Dell workstation that is using the Intel IC8HR RAID controller.

Right after it gets to the desktop environment it BSOD with an iastor2.sy_ 0x7B fault. A member at the 911cd.net forum suggested posting over here.

I have gone through the Dell txtsetup.oem that came with the machine and verified that all HWID's listed in it are present in the mass storage ini.

Of course some of the HWID's in the txtsetup.oem reference different drivers in the ms.ini, but what I find odd is the BSOD is referencing iastor2.sys which is different that what my machine uses, my machine has an ICH8 and that should be the I3 section, not I2.

Another thing I find odd is the ICH8R HWID is DEV_2822&CC_0104 which in the ms.ini file shows to be I7 (ICH9, 10, etc) and dev_2821&CC_0106 references I6 (also ICH9/10)

I'm a newbie at this so I hope I'm giving proper information.
