Mass Storage search bug and old DriverPack versions

If one searches for Mass Storage DriverPacks on Windows NT5.x one gets a 404 error.

Also I note that quite a few older versions of the packs are not available for download, I have about a 100 older versions archived on my machine, would there be any interest in having them uploaded and linked to the torrent tracker?

What drivers should be given preference, and which archived?

Case in point: the "Intel(R) Management Engine".

There exists a driver for this, including a COM-port over LAN driver.

There also exists a "Null-driver" to presumably (after config I) disable functionality, and the debateable risk to security it could pose to the unsuspecting.

Archiving it doesn't mean deleting it from a pack, it just means it wouldn't be installed by default, unless one were to previously extract it (& possibly remove the null-driver equivalent) and then to recompress the DriverPack.

What do you think? I appreciate any response, even if it takes us on a tangent.

google(ssl) & startingpage(ssl) don't like it either. one has to truncate the terms eg: "site:forum.driverpacks.net 5.100"
Bing & duckduckgo(ssl) are ok with "site:forum.driverpacks.net 5.100.82"

am i encountering a syntax error of my own creation?

As part of my job it's important to do reinstalls and build pc's and servers.

Sometimes we have to install windows os on motherboards that don't bring with them all the drivers for a certain os.

I downloaded and used a DP and BAM it worked in seconds. If only I knew of it sooner, I would not have wasted almost 2 hours looking for the correct driver.

Now I use it for all my installs. Thank you guys. I'll try and donate when I can. Your work is invaluable to many of us. I'll definitely help with

torrent sharing.

Here is a link to download ALL of the DriverPacks from one .torrent file. What initially put me off using torrents, (apart from never having much success with it,) was the fact that I had to download each DriverPack from a seperate torrent file. This torrent file contains everything to download just from one single file. Maybe for newcomers (like myself), this would be worth adding to the downloads page?

Then to keep the DriverPacks updated, one can just download the latest release for a particular pack, using the single torrent file from the DriverPacks download pages?

Bit Torrent Download NOT AVAILABLE (blocked by corp firewall)

I don't know what possessed you to remove the direct download link for the driverpack files. I am on a corporate network, behind a firewall and I **CAN NOT** download via bit torrent. If I try, I get a "waiting to log in" message in Bit Torrent. The security group will not allow me to use Bit Torrent as it is a security risk (probably do to the seed/peer aspect).

PLEASE PUT BACK THE DIRECT DOWNLOAD LINK. It took me two weeks to get the security group to allow me to direct download from this site and since you have moved to Bit Torrent downloads, I haven't been able to update anydrivers.

In order to get the new files I will have to download the files at home, move them to a flash drive and then bring them into work. That seems very counter-productive to me.

RSS feed for new torrents

I was wondering if there was a RSS feed for the torrent files. I would like to add the feed into my Torrent program (uTorrent) and automatically get the newest driver packs as they are released. Also this would help me to seed the latest and greatest torrents.

I currently subscribe to other torrent RSS feeds and it works out great I would like to see something similar with driver packs.

and yes I do know about http://driverpacks.net/driverpacks/latest/feed it just isn't something I can use in my bit torrent client.

Website download-separation suggestion

Hello.

The idea has entered my mind that a separation between third-party and official driverpacks might be useful for users like me periodically checking to see if new "official" driverpacks have been released. See, nowadays there are like 20 driverpacks there, while in the good old days there were only 10 (which are listed as official in the current base).

Anybody else on the same boat? For whom the only relevant packs are the so-called official ones?

Why BitTorrent?

Why is BitTorrent the only method for downloading the driver packs? What about IT people at work who would benefit greatly from these packs and can't use BitTorrent at work? This is frustrating. Last time I was here, I was able to just download the driver pack I needed.

Add 'Date Posted' or 'Updated' to Driverpacks Grid

When I visit http://driverpacks.net/driverpacks/latest, I get the driverpacks categorized by OS, which is awesome. Currently, the grid shows the name of the pack [Driverpack], version [Version], and a download link. Would it be possible to add a 'Updated' tag and colum to show what date the pack was posted? I can click the Download link to get the release date, but updating my driverpacks would be quicker if this info was there in the grid as well.

Say I update on the 1st of each month. Instead of checking each download link, or going by version, I can get the list of packs to update at a glance. Also, would it be beneficial if the download link was changed to 'Info' and a new 'Download' link that goes straight to the torrent file was added to the grid, or would that mess up the stats?
